Wedding dresses moved 1.300 million euros in Spain in 2015

Wedding dresses(formal dress boutiques) moved a figure close to 1,300 million euros in Spain in 2015, a fact that confirms the recovery of bridal companies and represents almost 13% of the total turnover of the Spanish textile sector.
In the framework of the Barcelona Wedding Summit, Professor of IESE Business School, Jose Luis Nueno, he explained that the Spanish market in the sector began in 2014 recovery with growth of 17% over the previous year in the segment of brides while in the honeymoon it grew by 13%.
The first edition of Wedding Barcelona Summit, organized by Media International and Barcelona Wedding Bridal Fashion Week is an international meeting of professionals, managers and operators in the sector to discuss the present and future of bridal fashion.
The Secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Generalitat, Joan Aregio, who opened the event, said the importance of a growing sector and stressed the importance of exports to continue evolving.

In this sense, Nueno pointed out that European countries in the area of influence, the United States and, especially, Latin American markets represent a great opportunity for Spanish bridal fashion, which has "much recognition at international level."
Thus, Spain is currently the second largest exporter in the world in this sector, has only behind China, "thanks to a strategy based on the quality and importance of the leading brands", assured.
Thus, IESE professor pointed out the need to export for Spanish companies, since the domestic market expected to fall by almost 2% between 2016 and 2020 because of demographics, among others.
"The reduction in the number of marriages is mainly affecting the Mediterranean markets: Spain and Italy and to a lesser extent, France, whose markets have been reduced in the period 2006-2014 by 48%," he noted.
Nueno has also commented on the growing importance they are acquiring social networks like Instagram or Pinterest in the sector and offer online, but recalled that brides prefer in-store experience to finish selecting your dress(http://www.dressesmallau.co/formal-dresses-canberra-c329/).
In Spain, almost a quarter of brides spend between 1,000 and 1,499 euros in wedding dress, while 23% choose to disburse over 3,000 euros amounts.
