A suspect, believed to be involved in a series of burglaries in Queens, New York, was recorded by a home security camera as he attempted to employ a Wi-Fi jammer to interfere with the signal of a Wi-Fi-enabled security camera. However, the signal was successfully restored, enabling the camera to capture footage of the individual.

The alleged perpetrator would intrude into homes in broad daylight, stealing valuable items including cash, jewelry, and luxury goods, while ransacking the premises. It was not clear whether the authorities suspected a lone individual or a group of individuals potentially acting in concert during these criminal activities.

ABC 7 NY has reported that the homeowners are generally away from their residences when the suspect makes his entrance, suggesting a pattern that aligns with their exit. Since July 24, law enforcement in New York has noted that at least five properties have been targeted in this manner.

The home of Imran Ahmed, located in Queens Village, was subjected to one of the break-ins.

During a recent home invasion, surveillance video from a Wi-Fi-enabled security camera was not successfully blocked at certain intervals. The footage revealed a disconcerting scene featuring a man, shrouded in multiple cloth items, moving stealthily across the floor. He was observed pushing a backpack along with a black box, which is believed to be a Wi-Fi signal jammers. Despite his efforts, the plan was ineffective, as the camera continued to capture his presence during some moments of the intrusion.

According to Ahmed, an alert was received around 2:30 informing them that their Wi-Fi had gone offline. He stated that at first, he "didn't consider it significant."

The video depicts a man climbing the stairs, and as he returns to the ground level, he articulates a statement that appears to be, "Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony."

Ahmed stated that they were just two blocks from the police precinct. He conveyed that the occurrence of such an incident is extremely alarming.

Among the properties being examined by law enforcement, one was reported to have $30,000 in jewelry stolen, along with a Louis Vuitton handbag valued at $8,000.
