Kathy Griffin got frocked up for a good cause on Sunday night, showing her support at the 2014 Best In Drag Show at LA's Orpheum Theatre.

And while she sported hair so big you could hide a dozen people in it, she otherwise resisted the urge to embrace her inner drag queen, looking actually quite demure and sophisticated as she hit the token bubblegum pink carpet.

The comedienne was perfectly put-together in a chic gold midi-length frock which featured a fitted crisscrossed bodice, paired with pointy black and gold studded stilettos. Her famous long red tresses were styled in huge tumbling curls that flicked out Farrah Fawcett-style around her face with a heavy fringe.

The 53-year-old's make-up was also understated to match her ensemble, with complementary nude hues on her lips and cheeks, her eyes played up with lashings of mascara.

The star took to the stage for a performance during the festivities, the night benefitting Aid For AIDS, a program of Alliance For Housing And Healing - providing housing and supportive services to low income people living with HIV/AIDS.

Actress Mary-Louise Parker also made an appearance at the bash, happily posing for photos with some of the more flamboyant guests in attendance.

The former Weeds star, 50, opted for a boring brown wrap dress and dark leopard-print peep-toe Mary Jane's, her long dark brown curly mane only adding to the overall drabness of her selection.

Josh Henderson put on a happy face despite his TNT series Dallas having just got the axe.

The 32-year-old hunk looked smart in black jeans and sneakers teamed with a moss green shirt featuring a spotted pattern that was buttoned up at the collar and pushed up at the sleeves.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar also showed his philanthropic side, proving to be a huge hit with the 'ladies'.

The Franklin & Bash star enjoyed a good old gab with one woman clad in a watermelon-printed frock and another in a mermaid-inspired blue and green sequinned mini-dress.
