You don't have to be a 20-something popstrel to rock a fashionable sheer top. And Susan Sarandon proved as much on Saturday as she took to the red carpet at the second annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards in Louisville, Kentucky. The 67-year-old actress was honoured at the event for her philanthropic work and looked fantastic in a shimmering blue suit. The Tammy star - who was accompanied at the event b boyfriend Jonathan Bricklin, 37 - showed a hint of black lacy bra underneath the sheer black shirt which featured a solid collar and pin-stripe detail. Her copper red locks were left in natural curls and she wore peachy blush on her cheeks and matching lipstick. Bricklin - who is also Sarandon's business partner - was seen in a dark grey suit with black tie and donned frame-less spectacles. Sarandon was presented with the Global Citizenship Award for her work with UNICEF and her efforts to help combat world hunger. She told WLKY news: 'To remind people that even if you can’t solve (problems) simplistically in one fell swoop, what's important is taking a stand and standing up for what you believe. That makes your life richer' The event, held in boxing champ Ali's home town, also honoured others such as hip-hop artist Common, Hall of Famer Jim Brown and half a dozen young adults from around the world for their humanitarian roles Dapper: Actress Holly Robinson Peete and son Rodney Jr looked sharp on the red carpet The website described the evening - held at the Louisville Marriott Downtown - as celebrating 'the greatness of people from around the world who are making differences in their communities and beyond.' Ali, who is battling Parkinson's disease, sat alongside honourees for photos on the red carpet clad in a dark suit with yellow tie. Meanwhile, Sarandon and Bricklin have been dating for a several years and are co-investors in SPiN, a New York based ping-pong bar. When first revealing their relationship she said: 'Jonathan and I collaborate on different things. That means a lot of things.' Speaking to AARP The Magazine for their March issue, she explained that this involved romance as well as business. The actress also recently described herself and Bricklin as, 'not an ordinary couple'. The 67-year-old has had ups and downs in her love life and was previously married to fellow actor Chris Sarandon for 12 years. After her divorce she went on to share a long-term relationship with Hollywood star Tim Robbins, 55, with whom she has two sons - Jack, 23, and Miles, 20. Her latest movie projects include proving a voice to Barb The Angel in animated comedy Hell & Back. She is also filming alongside her daughter Eva Amurri Martino, Christina Ricci and Sharon Stone for the drama Mother's Day which is due out next year.
