Is Jill Duggar having a baby boy or girl? 19 Kids and Counting fans may find out on October 21, when Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, will make a “really big” announcement. Hollywood Life reports that the couple would not confirm if they will be doing a gender reveal on Tuesday, but they did let on that they think they are having a girl.

“Right now there’s a lot to make us think that we’re having a girl, but we’re just guessing. We’ve got lots of people telling us it’s a girl, but a lot of other ones telling us it’s a boy. So, really, it’s a 50/50 chance.”

Jill is already in her second trimester of pregnancy, something that has caused speculation that Duggar may have gotten pregnant before she tied the knot on June 21. On September 17, Derick posted a photo of Jill on Instagram, announcing to the world that his wife was “13 weeks, 1 day” pregnant.

Their wedding date, June 21, was 12 weeks and four days prior to the day the photo was taken, making it just a little confusing for those trying to figure out if the baby was conceived before or after the Duggar-Dillard wedding.

Cosmopolitan stated back in September that it “seems like they made a baby together four days before their wedding.” Then they backtracked in a rather apologetic post that said that it is indeed possible that Jill got pregnant on, or shortly after, her wedding night, citing some information from Cosmo’s gynecology expert, Dr. Iris Kerin Orbuch.

“Most women have a 28-day cycle… we start counting on day1 of your last period. Which means if she [Jill] was 13 weeks, 1 day pregnant on Wednesday, September 17… she most likely got pregnant 11 weeks prior to that. It’s safe to say that she got pregnant after she was married.”

Date of conception speculation aside, the couple is very excited about the pregnancy, especially the fact that Jill is now in what Derick calls the “best trimester.” In a pregnancy update video on TLC (above), Jill agreed with her husband, and said that it’s exciting to be in her second trimester.

“You get to feel the baby move, find out the gender, and you feel better. You’re not super big pregnant yet, so, yeah, it’s exciting!”

Jill and Derick — who call their unborn baby “Baby Dilly” — have already registered for baby gifts well in advance of their March 2015 due date. Although they say that they are guessing it’s a girl, it’s interesting to point out that Christian Today reports that their registry includes pacifiers, bibs, and “vintage floral crib bedding.”

Now that sounds like a girl is more than a guess!
