How romantic! Jill Duggar locked lips with her husband, Derick Dillard, shortly after they officially tied the knot surrounded by 1,000 guests.

Jill Duggar, 23, waited until her wedding day to share her first kiss. The lucky man? Her boyfriend of five months, Derick Dillard, 25. The couple said their vows in front of a thousand family members and friends on Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Finally Kiss At Their Wedding

There it is — one of their very first kisses ever!

It is no secret that Jill and Derick were waiting until their wedding day to share their first kiss as a couple. On Saturday, June 21, that special moment finally happened — in front of over 100 family members and 900 other guests. No pressure!

Jill and Derick wed at Cross Church in Springdale, Ark, reports People who originally confirmed the exciting news.

Not surprisingly, many of Jill’s 18 siblings were involved in her bridal party. Five of her sisters were bridesmaids, two of her brothers were groomsmen, and some of the younger siblings served as flower girls and ring bearers. How sweet!

Congrats again to Jill and Derick! We hope they enjoyed their very special big day surrounded by so many people they love.

Jill & Derick Courted For 5 Months Before Getting Married

The couple, who were introduced by Jill’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, started courting via Skype sessions while Derick was traveling in Nepal with his mom. Their video chats were always chaperoned as part of the Duggar family’s strict courting rules, and Jim Bob even accompanied Jill on a trip to Nepal to meet Derick in person.

At the end of the trip, Derick surprised Jill by asking her to be in an official courtship with him. Of course she said yes!

A couple of months later when Derick came home, Jill broke all of the rules by greeting him with a frontal hug at the airport. As part of their courting, they are only allowed to engaged in “side hugs” so that they can resist sexual temptation. Thankfully, Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle Duggar, were not too upset about the slip up.

In March 2014, Derick finally popped the question — and again, Jill said yes! Once they were engaged they were allowed to hold hands, but they still decided to wait on kissing until their big day.

Ironically enough, Jim Bob and Michelle did not wait until their wedding day to kiss. Oops!
