Qualcomm released a smartphone called "Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders" last year, which sold for $1,500. Despite the manufacturer's desire to offer the best to its "fans", it is clear that the product is a disaster for them. Indeed, it has not had a security update since March and seems abandoned by the manufacturer.

Last year, Qualcomm released a smartphone designed in partnership with Asus. Named "Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders", this phone wanted to bring the best of the brand's know-how to its fans. To take advantage of it, you had to pay the price, since the mobile was offered at 1500 dollars (1300 euros). However, less than a year after its release, it seems totally abandoned.

XDA Developers indeed points the finger at a product that has not been updated since last March. We are talking here about security updates, therefore extremely important for the user. It should be added to this that this Update has added practically nothing compared to that published in January. More so, the terminal is still stuck on Android 11 (stock) and there is no indication that it will switch to Android 12 at some point. For a product that costs as much as a flagship from another brand, it hurts.

This is the first and last smartphone from Qualcomm , which quickly decided to abandon its plans. However, this terminal is indeed on the market, with users who expected at least a minimum of follow-up.

Qualcomm had indeed promised four years of updates for its mobile . It was well worth it, given that it had been thought of as a showcase of its know-how. However, the promises were not kept. Whose fault is it ? Qualcomm or Asus? In any case, it is the users who pay.
